January 12 PubTalk to Feature Panel Discussion on "Raising Capital in Central Oregon"
This panel will discuss the myths and realities of raising funds for early stage companies from investors in Central Oregon. Bend is widely quoted as a center of entrepreneurial spirit and activity. What has been the experience of entrepreneurs in raising funds here? What are investors really looking for? How do deals actually get done? The panel will include two local entrepreneurs as well as two local investors who will share their views and experiences.
This panel will discuss the opportunities and difficulties entrepreneurs face in launching their business in Bend as opposed to more traditional locations such as Portland, Seattle, or Silicon Valley.
