2005-2006 CENTRAL OREGON PUBTALK SEASON KICKS OFF SEPTEMBER 8
Central Oregon PubTalk is kicking off the 2005-2006 season Thursday, September 8th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at McMenamin’s Old St. Francis School in Father Luke’s Foundation Room (Parrish Center, 720 Bond Street, Bend). The event is open to both Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) and OEF members (cost is $15) and non-members (cost is $25). PubTalk will feature keynote speaker Doug Mendenhall, a business executive, entrepreneur and author of two soon-to-be-released books, Spark, ten elements that create passion and enthusiasm in life; and Risk Takers vs. Risk Talkers, distinctions that reveal opportunities for action. Doug is currently a consultant, helping corporations increase sales and develop teams that outperform their prior results
Rob Stout of Ball Janik LLP (www.balljanik.com) will also present a short Legal Mini Camp titled: " Things to Think About When Leaving Your Employer to Become an Entrepreneur ."
PubTalk will also feature an early stage company presentation by Speedprojects, Inc. (www.speedprojects.net) who provides secure project-based file sharing and Internet fax service through an intuitive web browser interface. Early stage presentations, which follow the keynote speaker, provide new or start-up businesses a venue to receive feedback on products, services, marketing strategy or other integral components of the business. Presenters share ideas, experiences and strategies for success with other businesses, angel investors, and EDCO/OEF members.
