OECDD GRANT HELPS AMERITECH EXPAND PRODUCTION

SALEM, OR— Governor Ted Kulongoski through the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department (OECDD) awarded Ameritech Machine Manufacturing a $33,000 forgivable loan from the Governor’s Strategic Reserve Fund (SRF).  The SRF loan will help to fund the purchase of property in Redmond, where the company is currently located. Ameritech will construct a 26,500 square foot building on the 2.5 acres of purchased land.

Ameritech, the largest fabrication and manufacturing machine shop in Central Oregon, has outgrown its existing facilities and needed a new location in order to remain competitive and grow.  Twenty-two full-time positions will be created as a result of the expansion in the Redmond/Bend area. Construction on this building is projected to be complete by April 1, 2008.
