FEBRUARY 10TH Central OREgon PUBTALK TO FEATURE INTELLICHEM CFO

The next Central Oregon Pub Talk will be held Thursday, February 10th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. PubTalk will be held at McMenamin’s Old St. Francis School property in Bend in Father Luke’s Foundation Room (Parrish Center, 720 Bond Street). The event is open to both EDCO and OEF members (cost is $15) and non-members (cost is $25). Registration for PubTalk can be done online at www.oef.org or at the door. PubTalks are co-sponsored by Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum (OEF). For information regarding the event, please contact Program Manager Jennifer Houston at EDCO: 541-388-3236 or Jennifer@edforco.org.

Keynote Speaker Mike Osborn, CFO of IntelliChem, will shares his insights on creating and financing successful startups, as well as his experiences in creating equity liquidity outcomes for founders and investors in his presentation titled: “Startup Funding & Exit Strategies: Closing the Circle For Founders & Investors.”  IntelliChem, a Bend-based software company selling electronic lab notebooks to the pharmaceutical industry, was successful in attracting $4MM in venture capital in the "financing desert of 2002," and recently completed a merger with Symyx Technologies, achieving a $30MM valuation for its shareholders in a transaction that was initiated and signed in less than four weeks. Osborn holds an MBA from Harvard and has been a founder or first CFO of five startups, including Digital Systems (a Redmond, WA telecommunications firm), completing a $39MM IPO within three years of initial product release.

The event will also feature an early stage company presentation by Pressure Drop (www.prpdrop.com), a computer peripherals and accessory start up manufacturer located in Bend. Early stage presentations, which follow the keynote speaker, provide new or start-up businesses a venue to receive feedback on products, services, marketing strategy or other integral components of the business. Presenters share ideas, experiences and strategies for success with other businesses, angel investors, venture capital firms, and EDCO/OEF members.
