In addition to operating the world's largest moulding plant in the community of Madras, Bright Wood Corporation is Central Oregon's second-largest employer with over 1,300 employees. Once the dominant industry in the region, lumber production has been largely replaced by secondary manufacturing including windows, doors, mouldings, furniture and other fixtures.
